Danny Alpert

Board Member & Chairman Emeritus

Alpert, an entrepreneur and businessman arrived in the US in 1977 after his military service in the IDF and after studying in Tel Aviv University Law School. In 1979, Alpert formed Oro Alexander, a thriving jewelry company. Oro Alexander manufactures diamond jewelry in Thailand and is internationally marketed within the United States, Canada, and Europe. Alpert has been involved with Beit Hashanti, SWU, Stand By Me, and Larger Than Life.

As a Co-founder of the IAC, Alpert recognized the need for a unified Israeli American community when in the summer of 2006, during the 2nd Lebanon war, very few Israelis showed up to a pro-Israel demonstration.

After speaking with Ehud Danoch (The council General of Israel in Los Angeles) they decided to host a meeting at Alpert's home in Tarzana which formed the board for the creation of the IAC. Alpert served as the first Co-Chariman of the IAC in 2007 and served until 2012.

Alpert and his wife Michal have three sons and live in Tarzana, California
