My Story. Our Story. The Eitanim Story
Imagine a world where every year thousands of Israeli and Jewish American teens are positively exposed to Israel through personal connections with mentors who provide a vivid and realistic picture of the significant impact Israel has had on technology, medicine, agriculture, disaster preparedness training, science and design. Now envision this happening through monthly gatherings of teens and mentors, where the teens get to explore some of life’s most challenging issues impacting the Israeli and Jewish community and develop possible solutions that they then share with each other and the broader community, to effect positive change. The teens learn how to work in teams, make effective presentations, and are in training to become the future leaders of the global Jewish community. IAC Eitanim is the key to bringing this vision into reality.
The video below is the story of Tomer Avgil, from San Diego and IAC Eitanim, for middle and high school students. It’s a project based program that helps them learn about Israeli & Jewish values, innovation and became better leaders and entrepreneur in the future
A growing community of tomorrow's game changers!
IAC Eitanim brings together the next generation’s Jewish-American and Israeli-American middle and high school students for an immersive, innovative, project-based learning experience which strengthens participants’ Jewish identity, builds their connection to Israel and ignites their “Israeliness”.
With the help of mentors from the community, IAC Eitanim empowers the teenagers to be active in their community, engaging with the Israeli and Jewish American central challenges while promoting a mindset of entrepreneurship, innovation, critical thinking, problem solving and other soft skills.
“What they accomplished during the program was eye opening. It’s our responsibility as parents and leaders in our society, to give them these tools and inspiration in order to promote the feeling of accomplishment, out of the box and strategic thinking and gender equality that they don’t get in schools today.”
- Ilana Golan, IAC Eitanim mentor, Silicon Valley CEO Golan Ventures
“It gave me a new opportunity to work with both Jewish and Israeli-Americans towards the goal of Israel”
- Noam Yamay, IAC Eitanim graduate Washington DC
