Ruthie Bashan, a skilled art therapist and dedicated clinical social worker, has been a board member of the IAC NJ since 2017. Demonstrating a strong commitment to the Israeli American community since her relocation to the States in 2000, Ruthie stands as a steadfast advocate for its well-being. Currently, Ruthie serves as the Director of Special Services at the Guttenberg Center at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades. She has also been teaching at the graduate Social Work program of Montclair State University in New Jersey as an adjunct professor since August 2021. Before her current positions, she worked as a therapist for children and families at the Jewish Family Service & Children's Center of Clifton-Passaic, specializing in trauma-informed interventions for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assaults.
