Ortal Margalith is the IAC Marketing Manager in Washington D.C. She has advocated on behalf of Israel for many years in public policy forums. She was born and raised in Israel, and served as a Public Affairs NCO in the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit. 

After her military service, she worked at Israeli Foreign Ministry’s Crisis Management Situation Room in Jerusalem. In this role, she monitored crisis situations in Israel and abroad, and coordinated deliveries of disaster relief materials to other countries and into Israel.  Ortal was then posted to the Israeli Embassy in Washington D.C as the Legislative Liaison at the Department of Congressional Affairs, where she became the Director of Legislative Affairs after two years. In this role, Ortal handled legislative initiatives at the federal level and acted as a liaison between Israeli officials and Congressional personnel on matters of foreign affairs and immigration.

Ortal earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Business Administration from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.  She joined the IAC in 2016 as Outreach Manager and now she works as the Marketing Manager for the D.C. region. When she isn’t busy working for the IAC she enjoys hiking in the woods, reading, theater, and baking.
