Oren has been immersed in the Jewish and Israeli communities in the U.S. for almost ten years. During the course of planning programs and creating business ties, he has served as an emissary for our people and our causes.  Oren has brought Israel engagement to communities and campuses across the U.S. and Canada.  As director for The Jewish Agency Israel Fellows to Hillel International program, he mentored, trained, and supervised shlichim in representing Israel, creating programming, and providing support during crises in Israel or among students.  In Boston, he worked at the Consulate General of Israel to New England.

He previously lived in Germany, Italy and Switzerland representing global companies in developing and strengthening technology products, calling on Fortune 500 and other customers in Asia and the U.S. as well.   He returned to Israel to earn an MBA. Drawing on his sales and client relations successes for his thesis, he researched the workforce management factors that correlate with improved organizational productivity. On moving to the U.S., he served as director of business development for an investment company, identifying potential investors through market research and a variety of foreign business channels.

Oren comes from a Navy family in Israel.  He lives in Maryland with his husband and their twins Shiri and Yannai.
