Jonathan is a business lawyer and his practice mainly focuses on representing public and private companies in domestic and international mergers, as well as stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, private equity investments, reorganizations, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, securities transactions, securities regulatory filings, and corporate compliance and governance issues. Along with advising clients on general corporate matters, Jonathan also has experience with representing investment banking firms in their capacity as financial advisors.
Jonathan received his law degree from Harvard Law School, where he was submissions editor of the Harvard International Law Journal, and his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Cambridge in England, where he was a King’s College Scholar and the recipient of the Hurst Prize for Law. Prior to attending law school, Captain (Res.) Jonathan Nesher served in the Israeli Defense Forces where he held several command positions in the Navy, including commander of a naval warship during Operation Defensive Shield. He is a graduate of the IDF Naval Academy, the IDF College of Advanced Naval Command, and the IDF Special Training Installation. From 2008 to 2013 he served as a senior legal and strategic advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel.
