Sharona Israeli-Roth was born in Jerusalem and moved to the Bay Area 20 years ago after completing her Israeli army service as a medic and medical instructor. She has extensive experience as a Jewish educator where she has sought to share the gift of Israeli culture, Jewish learning and Jewish life with her students. She also has varied experience as an administrator and director both in the Bay Area and in Israel. In 2014, she served as the Head of Campus/Founding Faculty Member for the Eastern Mediterranean International School (“EMIS”), a new diverse international high school which she helped launch in Tel Aviv the following year.
Sharona’s passion for working with the Jewish community comes from her belief that we owe it to the generations before us, as well as to the generations to come, to empower this generation to make a difference and learn and engage with Israel.
Sharona holds a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Education. She is also a licensed paramedic.
Sharona enjoys life! She lives in San Francisco and loves spending time with her two daughters and her husband; traveling anywhere in the world; going home to visit family and friends in Israel; enjoying sunny days with great food and friends; cooking, reading, laughing, debating, eating and dancing.
