Born in Israel and raised in California until he returned to Israel to serve and volunteer as a lone soldier in the IDF. Ron Efroni served as a programmer and then a program team leader in the elite technological unit for four years.

In the army, Ron oversaw leading a team of programmers to build large scale field operational intelligence platforms. During those years Ron graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BSc. in Computer Science and Math.

In 2014 Ron experienced firsthand the faults of school security and decided something needs to be done. After finishing his degree and army service he opened Slyde together with his long-time army friend Gil.

Ron lead Slyde from an idea to help parents and students around the world to a full-scale platform with customers across the US.

In his free time, Ron likes to volunteer and contribute as much as he can to his surroundings with an emphasis on entrepreneurship for social and global impact.
