Galit joins IAC-Philadelphia from PhillyIsrael where she spent the past 9 years as Director of Programming and Events. While at PhillyIsrael, she founded and managed Lev-Philly, an Israeli Hebrew school for children between the ages of 3 to 13. In both positions, she was involved in the coordination and management of many events and programs for the Israeli American community in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Her previous experience includes organizing programs and events for children and adults. For children, she was responsible for a monthly activity, including story time and holiday parties. She also coordinated theatrical events for the children. For adults, Galit organized and managed lectures, social events, concerts featuring Israeli musicians & artists, and women networking & empowerment forum.
In her various positions, Galit was responsible for planning, budgeting, hiring, and curriculum development. Galit utilized her creative side as designer of much of the marketing materials at her previous organizations.
Galit and her husband moved to the United States from Israel when her husband’s company, Teva Pharmaceuticals, relocated his position. In Israel, Galit was the academic and administrative manager in the Human Resources Department at the College of Management. She was responsible for oversight of the faculty and staff and for training administrative employees.
Galit has a B.A. in Social Science from the Open University in Israel. She also is pursuing Web and Graphic design certificates from the Moore College of Art and Design.
Galit and her husband, Guy, reside in Upper Dublin with their four wonderful children. She enjoys art and design during her spare time. Galit is extremely excited to be Programs Manager of the new IAC Philadelphia chapter.
