For the past five years, Yair Sherki has been the reporter for religious affairs in the news company of channel 12, (formerly Channel 2). He also writes a weekly political column in the weekly newspaper  “Besheva”.

Sherki was born in Jerusalem.  His father is Rabbi Uri Sherkyand his mother, Ronit Sherky holds a Ph.D. in biology. In his military service he was a reporter for Galei Tzhal, where he began his journalistic career.  Later he joined the Channel 2 News Channel.  
He reports on affairs related to religion, Judais, the ultra-orthodox and politics in Israel.
