Shahar’s love story with the nonprofit word began right after military service, and backpacking and exploring the world led to his first nonprofit job. Before he joined the Israeli American Council, Shahar filled Senior positions at the Jewish Federation and JCC. He is the father of an incredible four-year-old boy, Lev, which means heart in Hebrew. They live in Phoenix, love the outdoor activities Arizona has to offer, and enjoy traveling together!
Currently, Shahar is our National Community Director, and together with a great team of managers and volunteers, they carry the IAC vision and building a coast-to-coast community with Israel in its heart and Israeliness in its spirit.
