Gary Wexler

Award-Winning Creative Director & Professor, USC

Gary’s career has taken him from being a copywriter and creative director for major ad agencies, winning awards for campaigns ranging from Apple to Coca Cola, to the marketing of the Nonprofit world globally, including Israel, to the classroom at USC-Annenberg where he has become one of the most popular professors in the Masters in Communication program.

This June, the National Library of Israel (NLI) will sit next to the Knesset in its newly established building, the Gary Wexler Archive of Communications/ Marketing and Advertising for the Jewish World. As the NLI has publicized, this archive will live in the same room as the archives of several other notable Israeli talents, including musician Naomi Shemer and scholar Gershom Scholem.

Gary’s son, Micah Wexler is the owner of what the New York Times, LA Times and PBS TV in its show Migrant Kitchen have called LA’s best Jewish deli, Wexler’s , located in Grand Central Market, Santa Monica, Century City and Palm Springs.
