Shlomit Ovadia

Programs Coordinator

Shlomit is the Programs Coordinator for the Israeli American Council at the Los Angeles Shepher Community Center. Shlomit is originally from San Diego, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her Bachelors of Arts degree in English Literature (although briefly studied at Tokiwa University in Japan in between). After graduating from college, Shlomit won a nation-wide writing competition on Judaic and modern day critical theory. Her passion for the strengthening and growth of the Jewish community inspires her work ethic.

From farm work to grant writing, Shlomit has a unique repertoire of previous work experiences. When she is not in the office, you can find Shlomit camping out somewhere in the woods or mucking stalls at the barn.
