On Tuesday evening, over 60 LEAD members met at the IAC Shepher Community Center for an outdoor barbecue and a political town hall. The LEADers enjoyed an old fashion American barbecue and played games that tested their knowledge of the American political system. For the second part of the event, the LEAD members got to be part of an interactive panel which featured three members of the community who are actively involved politically; one on the Democrat side, one on the Republican side and a moderator. The panel discussion covered topics such as current events, Israel and the US-Israel relationship, and ways for young people to be politically and civically engaged.
