Prof. Leonard Saxe

Leonard Saxe is a social psychologist whose work broadly concerns how individuals are influenced by their social environments. More specifically, his work includes a variety of evaluative and policy focused studies of education, mental health issues, psychological testing, and the development of Jewish identity.

Professor Saxe is author or editor of nearly 250 publications. In 1989, he was awarded the American Psychological Association’s prize for Distinguished Contributions to Psychology in the Public Interest (Early Career), and he has been a Science Fellow for the United States Congress and a Fulbright Professor at Haifa University in Israel. Professor Saxe is also involved in a variety of Jewish communal activities and is a member of the Board of Governors of Haifa University.
