Dr. Dore Gold

President of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, former Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and former Ambassador to the United Nations

Former Director General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israel; Former Ambassador of Israel to the United Nations. Ambassador Dore Gold is President of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. Dore Gold has led the Jerusalem Center since 2000. He served from June 2015 until October 2016 as Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an appointment by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. During his tenure at the Foreign Ministry, Amb. Gold advanced policies that strengthened Israel on a global level–from Africa and Asia to the Mideast and the Western world.

Ambassador Gold was the eleventh Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations (1997-1999). He has served as an external advisor on international issues to P.M. Netanyahu and as an envoy to the Palestinian Authority, Egypt, Jordan and the Gulf States. Amb. Gold also served as an advisor to P.M. Ariel Sharon.
