Sophy Turkea Yurman is the National Director of Gvanim Limmud IAC – community groups  how learn and  discuss in "havruta" about texts from the wealth of Jewish and Israeli culture.

Sophy is an Educator, she have MA in a Jewish Education Specialization in Pluralistic Jewish learning from Melton Center - The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Hebrew Union College and she is an alumni of the Mandel Educational Leadership Program.

Sophy is a Former Major at the IDF. Served 13 years in various educational positions. She was a Director of  Program Development at the International School for Jewish Peoplehood Studies at Beit Hatfutsot Museum.

and she was a Deputy Director at Alma Home for Hebrew Culture founded by Dr. Ruth Calderon.
