Shira Ravin

MA in Teaching Hebrew/applied Second Language Acquisition and IAC Council Member

Shira dedicates her knowledge to promote the Hebrew language in the USA. She involved with various programs, organizations and academia to maximize the awareness of the Hebrew teaching profession, connection to Israel and Jewish identity.  Shira serves as the Director of Hebrew Programming at the Areivim Philanthropic group; she volunteers as a council member for the National Hebrew Teachers Association (NAHET). Shira also serves as IAC-DC co-chairperson. Shira holds an MA in Language acquisition/ Hebrew as second language from Middlebury College, VT, and serves as a mentor for the MA students. Shira believes that a community obligation is needed to connect the next generations with their heritage language, identity and to the state of Israel in a meaningful, engaging experiences.
