Rachel Chafetz

IAC National Board Member

Rachel Chafetz is an Israeli American who came to the United States in 1994, and who has distinguished herself as an active and dedicated leader in many Jewish organizations.  She is the founding Co-Chair of the Boston IAC Council, and is currently serves on the The IAC national board. Rachel is also a member of the Board of CJP (combined Jewish philanthropy), and is a board member of the Boston chapter of the FIDF. Rachel is an active member of JNF and AIPAC.  She was formerly a board member of the JCC, Gann Academy, the Bureau of Jewish Education, and served as the Presedent of the board of Gateways: Access to Jewish Education.  Rachel had the honor of having been chosen to be part of CJP’s cohort of ACHARAI, its premier leadership training program (2013-2014), and was the 2016 recipient of CJP’s “Chai at the Hub” award. Though Rachel’s work is in a volunteer capacity, she does hold a professional MA degree in Jewish Education from Hebrew College, as well as a Certificate in Special Education.
