Co-Founder, FIDF

Miriam is the co-founder of FIDF

Originally from Aden, Miriam is a singer of ethnic origin with a deep Alto voice. Miriam was one of the discoveries of composer Nahum Nardi. In the 1950s she sang in the girls' choir he founded, and from the early 1960s the composer worked mainly with her. For five years, Miriam Yaakobi was the soloist in recitals that Nardi presented in concert halls in Israel, Europe, the United States and Canada. She has accompanied many songs, including songs for children, duets with other singers and even Yiddish songs. The collaboration between Nardi and Jacoby ended in 1967, after the singer married in the United States.
