Galia Messika

IAC National Council Member - Washington DC

Galia Messika is a litigation partner with Potomac Law Group, a Washington DC law firm. She has extensive and broad experience counseling companies’ senior management and boards of directors on resolving actual and potential disputes and litigating complex commercial cases. She has handled a wide variety of matters including litigation over corporate control, securities fraud and class action litigation, breach of contract cases, contested restructuring matters and trade secret and intellectual property actions, both at the trial level courts and on appeal.

Galia received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the Hebrew University School of Law in Jerusalem in 1999. Following her graduation from law school, she served as the law clerk to the Honorable Aharon Barak, who at the time was the presiding Chief Justice of the Israeli Supreme Court. She obtained her LL.M. in 2001 from the NYU School of Law, where she graduated with honors and received the Hauser Global Scholarship. Prior to attending law school, Galia served in the Israeli Defense Forces's intelligence headquarters and held the position of deputy-head of department. Galia is excited to join the IAC's Washington DC Regional Council and help serve, empower and build an engaged Israeli-American community in the Washington metropolitan area.
