Dr. Neta Peleg-Oren

Dr. Neta Peleg-Oren, Ph.D., LCSW was born and raised in Israel, where she served as a sergeant in the Navy Intelligence. She is a licensed psychotherapist, certified clinical hypnotherapist, and an owner of a psychotherapy and mindfulness private practice in Aventura, Florida. Dr. Peleg-Oren received her doctoral degree from Tel‐Aviv University in Israel, where she served as a faculty member, as well as a faculty member at Bar‐Ilan University. Upon moving to the United States fourteen years ago, Dr. Peleg-Oren served as a faculty member at the Department of Public Health Sciences of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
 
Currently, she helps young adults and adults, individuals and couples, facing life changes (such as immigration, relationship status, parenting, loss and grief, medical illness, and weight control) to take action, live fulfilling and meaningful lives, and cope with related mental consequences. Aside from her clinical work, Dr. Peleg-Oren conducts lectures and workshops on topics such as women and immigration, anxiety, mindfulness, couple’s relationships, and most recently, on identity (Israeli, Jewish) and belonging of the second generation of Israeli-Americans who reside outside of Israel. She has published numerous articles in scientific journals and for the last years writes a weekly column in Hebrew “From the clinic of Dr. Neta” in Israpost newspaper of the Jewish and Israeli community in Florida.
