Shelley Benizri

Senior Programs and Development Manager

Shelley was born and raised in Israel, partly on a kibbutz in the Negev, and completed her army service with highest honors before moving to the U.S.

She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University where she focused her studies on issues of Race and Ethnicity in America, and has been a student of Identity ever since. While at Stanford she founded the Israeli Student Organization and received the Hillel Light of Leadership award. She moved to San Francisco to work with ‘at risk’ youth, and received a certificate of recognition from the mayor for her community engagement work.

During the 10 years she spent in New York, she developed her Operations and Finance skills as well as Marketing, P.R. and Event Production skills. Since moving to Florida in 2010, she has been working within the Jewish community. She is thrilled to be a part of the IAC and follow her passion and commitment to Jewish continuity and love for Israel.

Shelley lives with her husband and son in Hollywood and enjoys yoga (preferably on the beach during sunrise), cooking big traditional Israeli meals for her family and friends and playing with her dog.
