Nadav was born and raised in Ramat Hasharon, Israel. After his military service - 3 years in Israel's Air Force - he first encountered American Jewry in a summer camp in Arizona; an experience that changed his life for good. Every summer of his college years, Nadav guided groups of British and American teens around Israel.
Upon his graduation (with a BA in Sociology, Anthropology and Communications, from Haifa University), he set out to travel in South America and then began working as a Shaliach (Emissary worker) for Hillel at Stanford. After 2 years in California, Nadav moved back to Jerusalem, where he worked for 3 years as the Director of Birthright programs for Young Judaea. Nadav then moved to NYC for two years, to work as the Senior Shaliach for the Union for Reform Judaism in North America. During this time, Nadav studied for his MA in the Jewish Professional Studies Program at Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning & Leadership.
Nadav is married to Rachel (who is a Shlicha at The iCenter) and they are currently based in Chicago where they are raising their two daughters, Aviv and Hadas.
