Gil Zimmermann

Gil is an entrepreneur, investor, and advisor, focused on the intersections of development, cybersecurity, and go-to-market of cloud businesses. Gil was the CEO and Co-founder of CloudLock (Sold to Cisco in 2016), and is a board member, chairman, and angel investor in several venture-backed businesses. Gil is also a board member in Education for Excellence, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Israeli children in the social and geographical peripheral, through education.

Gil was born in Israel, raised in Southern California for most of his childhood, and returned to Israel in the middle of High School to graduate and join the IDF. In the IDF, Gil completed his training in Computer Programming in the IDF MAMRAM program and served in various MI elite projects. He holds a BA in Computer Science/Mathematics/Philosophy from Tel Aviv University and a High-Tech MBA from Northeastern University.

Gil and his wife Michal (a lawyer and professional photographer) moved to Boston in 2001, and currently reside in Newton, MA with their 3 children, Ron, Shira and Ben.
