This week we had the honor of hosting Shay Artzi, Chief Technology Officer at Zappix, that talked to us about app development and gamification. The task was to gamify a tool that will help high-schoolers with their college search and application process. Alon, the Mishelanu intern gave feedback on their projects results.

78 Israeli-American, Jewish American and Persian American mothers attended a Paint Night at The Grove in Los Angeles. Professional instructors led the group in painting a HAMSA as they drank cocktails, had dinner, and mingled. Lashon Academy, a Hebrew public charter school and Kadima Day school were cosponsors of the event.

IAC DC celebrated Purim with a community party for children and families in Maryland with about 350 participants. The families enjoyed Purim activities – such as making Oznei Haman, reading stories in Hebrew, decorating costumes, and a theater show both in Hebrew and English.

IAC TWEENS Purim party - 75 Israeli and American Jewish middle schoolers came together this week to celebrate Purim. The party was led by three Gvanim alumni volunteers that engaged 10 additional volunteers from the community to help out and chaperone. The party was held at a local Jewish Day school that donated the space.

Boston Israeli Kids Movie Club 20 families joined together this week at Merkaz IAC Boston for the 2nd movie screening and activity for little kids. They enjoyed snacks, crafts, and watching Kaspion all led by community volunteers.

IAC FL had 2 "Hagiga Ivrit" events in the IAC Community Center and in Temple Beth El in Boca Raton. Both events were a success, kids participated in a ‘Dira Lehaskir’ story time and show (staring the kids!) and after made an arts and crafts projects of how do they see their home.

Bassem Eid, a Palestinian human rights activist spoke at the March 6 fundraiser helping guests understand why it is important to celebrate Israel as an independent country. Nearly 100 people attended donating $35,000 (!!) for Celebrate Israel.

This week another Keshetot semester has started with 45 families that register for a full semester. Keshetot is the only tot program in New York that is being held in Hebrew. We have two locations for the program: Brooklyn and Queens.
