Professional instructors led the group in painting a HAMSA as they drank cocktails, had dinner, and mingled. Lashon Academy, a Hebrew public charter school and Kadima Day school were cosponsors of the event.
IAC DC celebrated Purim with a community party for children and families in Maryland with about 350 participants. The families enjoyed Purim activities – such as making Oznei Haman, reading stories in Hebrew, decorating costumes, and a theater show both in Hebrew and English.
