Together with the Jewish Federation and JCRC, the IAC mobilized the community to participate in a solidarity gathering at Max Brenner in Maryland following the terrorist attack in Tel Aviv this week. A member of the community, Dikla Hazony, shared the story of her beloved cousin, Ido Ben Ari Z”L, who was the first victim from the attack.

IAC Boston’s tweens program, Noar Israeli, concluded a year of activities with a pool party! More than 50 tweens celebrated together the end of the year, and enjoyed educational activities in Hebrew. Noar Israeli is a program that was initiated, designed and run by two of our ‘Gvanim’ alumni with the guidance and support of our staff.

Over 140 members of the community experienced an Israeli style Shabbat dinner, celebration of Shavuot and Israeli sing-along. The event would not be possible without the huge help of our IAC Engage community volunteers, our IAC DC Council and sponsors who made it possible. With thousands in attendance, Celebrate Israel is the largest celebration for Israel in the State of Florida. This year the main stage entertainment was Chico & the Gypsies, and Mashina. Merkaz IAC hosted a Vintage Style Party organized by volunteers from the community. Over a hundred women from the entire community donated their clothes to be sold at the party. All the revenue went directly to an IAC Boston volunteer program called ‘Noar Israeli’, which is run by two of our Gvanim alumni.
