Ilana Nesher-Brown

Regional Council Member, Austin

Born in the US, raised in Israel by an American mother and an Israeli father, Ilana is both Israeli and American. Ilana grew up in Tel Aviv and after completing her army service in an intelligence unit, she earned her BA degree in Linguistics from Tel Aviv University. After her move to New York City in 2009, she continued her studies at NYU where she earned a dual masters degree, MPA in nonprofit management and an MA in Hebrew and Judaic Studies.  Ilana has experience working in resource development and nonprofit management both in Israel and the US.

Excited to be part of the IAC, Ilana has always been committed to projects and initiatives aimed at building bridges between American Jewry and Israelis.

Ilana lives in Austin, TX with Benjamin and their three children Rosie, Lev and Sam.
