Dear parents,In Shavuot we mark with the family three significant celebrations: The Harvest Holiday – a celebration of the new crops from the earth of the land of Israel, to which we are all attached by unbreakable bonds. The Holiday of the Giving of the Torah – the giving of the Torah is at the base of the Jewish community identity. The Holiday of the “Bikurim” (First Fruits) – the first fruits of our actions, expressing our concern for the environment and the society in which we live. Three celebrations at once!
